I get this question quite often. Here's my advice:
Domestic Flights - Yes, you can pack sex toys, and I recommend you pack them in your checked luggage. If you're not checking your luggage and taking a carry-on instead, place all your toys in a separate, preferably hard shell case. This way, if you forget to take the batteries out or if the device is fully charged, there is less chance for it to rub against something and turn on accidentally. Otherwise, don't forget to REMOVE THE BATTERIES before packing.
International Flights - If you are traveling internationally, there is a chance your bag might get inspected. TSA/Customs agents come across adult toys regularly during bag inspections. If you feel this may cause you too much embarrassment, I recommend leaving your toys at home. Otherwise, you and the agent can have a good laugh about it.
Cruises - Although this wasn't part of the question, I also want to note passenger cruise travel. Typical TSA regulations also apply to cruises, therefore sex toys are allowed. However, your luggage could get inspected, so consider this when packing.
If you are still unsure, it never hurts to ask. Call the cruise/airline or TSA (1-866-289-9673) and ask a representative directly. I'm sure they receive these types of questions all the time and will have the most up-to-date answers.
